How they voted

The beer necessities: The Senate voted to drop the legal blood-alcohol content from 0.10 to 0.08 percent. Sens. Clyde Boatright, R-Rathdrum; Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint; and Marguerite McLaughlin, D-Orofino, voted against the bill. All other North Idaho legislators voted for the bill.

Smoke signals: The House voted 39-29 to pass a controversial anti-smoking bill that was proposed by the tobacco industry. Reps. Charles Cuddy, D-Orofino; June Judd, D-St. Maries; Hilde Kellogg, R-Post Falls; Wayne Meyer, R-Rathdrum; Don Pischner, R-Coeur d’Alene; Larry Watson, D-Wallace; and John Campbell, R-Sandpoint, all voted to pass the bill. Reps. Jeff Alltus, R-Hayden; Jim Clark, R-Hayden; and Jim Stoicheff, D-Sandpoint, voted against it.

Rough road behind: The House Transportation Committee voted unanimously to introduce legislation that would allow $394 million in upgrades on U.S. Highway 95. Reps. Kellogg, Pischner and Cuddy all voted in the affirmative.
