Holgate May Get Cda Baseball Job

Brian Holgate has been recommended by Coeur d’Alene High administrators to become the Vikings head baseball coach.

The Board of Trustees is expected to act on the recommendation at its Monday meeting.

Holgate was the Vikings’ JV coach the last two years. He coached the American Legion “A” team last season. He would succeed Paul Mather.

Darren Taylor, head coach of the Post Falls American Legion team, was the other finalist.

Geary Jerde is Coeur d’Alene’s new girls soccer coach. He replaces David Tabakman, who resigned after CdA finished as state runner-up last season.
