Rodman Submits Apology
Dennis Rodman called Minneapolis Tuesday to say he’s sorry.
The Chicago Bulls star apologized to Target Center cameraman Eugene Amos after agreeing to a $200,000 out-of-court settlement that also assured that Rodman would not face criminal prosecution.
“Both men are going to be going on with their lives,” said Minneapolis lawyer Andrew Luger, who represented Rodman. “They had a cordial conversation that I think allows both of them to move forward without any ill will at all.”

A California-based hamburger chain announced it has pulled its television commercials featuring Chicago Bulls star forward Dennis Rodman.
Carl’s Jr. Restaurants, becomes the second company in the past two months to alter its relationship with Rodman.
Eastman Kodak was in the midst of a Rodman-based TV commercial campaign for its new Advantix camera last month when Rodman used profanity during a live postgame TV interview. Kodak indicated it probably will not retain Rodman as a spokesman.
Shootout entries named
A field of eight is entered in the NBA Shootout competition during All-Star weekend.
The field includes John Stockton of Utah, Dale Ellis of Denver, Steve Kerr of Chicago, Tim Legler of Washington, Terry Mills of Detroit, Sam Perkins of Seattle, Glen Rice of Charlotte and Walt Williams of Toronto.
Jordan scores 51 points
Michael Jordan scored 51 points, the most by an NBA player this season, as the Chicago Bulls responded to their first loss in weeks by defeating the New York Knicks 88-87 Tuesday night.
The Bulls won for the 10th time in 11 games and improved to 35-5. The lone loss during that string was Sunday at Houston. Chicago is 20-1 at home, with 13 straight victories.

Glen Rice scored a season-high 42 points, including 19 in the final quarter, and the Charlotte Hornets beat the Houston Rockets 114-108. Rice became the first Hornet to score 30 or more points in four straight games. … Rony Seikaly scored 26 points and Penny Hardaway delivered a clutch 3-pointer and layup down the stretch to help the Orlando Magic hold off the Washington Bullets 93-88.
