National forests
The Volunteer Trailwork Coalition is organizing three work projects in the next few weeks to improve trails and facilities on Inland Northwest forests.
The VTC, based in Issaquah, Wash., helps coordinate organizations and individual volunteers with state and federal agencies for the sake of trails in Washington and Idaho, said coordinator Erin Marinos.
Upcoming projects include:
July 25-27, repair of Snyder Guard Station on Bonners Ferry Ranger District.
July 26-27, work on Kettle Crest Trail near Sherman Pass.
Aug. 9-10, work on Snow Peak Shelter, in Republic Ranger District.
