County Medical Auxiliary Chooses New Officers
The Spokane County Medical Society Auxiliary named their new officers for the 1997-98 year. They are:
Jane Reed, president; Sarah Beyersdorf, president elect; Ruth Benage, treasurer; Bonnie Bell, assistant treasurer; Gail Duba, vice president of administration; Beth Brasch, vice president of communication; Sandy Goldberg, vice president of health education; Linda Browne, vice president of membership; and Amy Galloway, recording secretary. The 1997-98 president of the Washington State Medical Association Alliance is Linda Milsow of Spokane.
Leah Cutler, a 1994 graduate of Ferris High School, was named secretary of the Associated Students of Willamette University for the 1997-98 year. She is the daughter of Mary and Fred Cutler of Spokane.
Scott Ayers, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ayers of Spokane, has been accepted to the Omicron Delta Epsilon national economics fraternity.
Sarah Eigenbrood, daughter of Rick and Holly Eigenbrood of Spokane, is a recipient of a Dordt College Merit Award Scholarship. The award is based on recognition of a student’s academic standing, ACT/SAT scores and extracurricular involvement.
She will be a graduate of Mead High School and is a member of the Honors Society.
Raymond Hare Jr., athletic director at Ferris High School, has received the title Certified Athletic Administrator. The CAA program identifies those directors nationally who demonstrate a certifiable level of both experience and expertise in the administration of interscholastic athletics.
The second-year Japanese students from Ferris High School placed first at the Skit Contest. The members of the class are:
Seniors: Ryan Bentz, Kristan Blackhart and Mark Hammons.
Juniors: Leah Bodker, Grant Darigol, Lauren Hoernlein, David Huang, Brenda Klein, Paul Spangler and Tim Ike.
Sophomores: Aaron Dahmen and Clint Mumaw.
