Orange Crush

Man does not live by bread alone. There are, after all, orange butterflake rolls.

The sweet, citrusy treats are among the highlights at Ravano’s, a NorthPointe Plaza bakery named after owner/baker Mike Beasley’s Italian mother.

There’s also an assortment of crusty, hearth-baked breads - like the 10-grain bread also pictured here - and gourmet desserts.

Come to think of it, maybe man could live by dessert alone.

Price: Orange butterflake rolls, 30 cents each or $3/dozen; breads, $2.95; desserts, $1.95-$2.95.
