Compiled From Wire Services

The second race of the women’s World Cup downhill competition at the Happoone Olympic Course was called off today due to rain. It was rescheduled for Sunday, organizers said.

The race will be the seventh of eight women’s downhills this season. The last will be contested at Vail, Colo., in two weeks.

In Friday’s downhill, Warwara Zelenskaja of Russia outpaced world champion Hilary Lindh of Juneau, Alaska, to win. Carole Montillet of France was third.
