Anchorage native Trajan Langdon will begin his last year in a Duke uniform in front of a hometown crowd when the Blue Devils headline next year’s men’s basketball Great Alaska Shootout.

No. 12 Fresno State, Notre Dame, Southern Utah, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Saint Mary’s also will join host Alaska-Anchorage in the 21st annual Thanksgiving weekend tournament.

Fresno State’s Chris Herren has voluntarily left the men’s basketball team for an undisclosed period of time after suffering a setback in his battle with substance abuse. Herren said he has had problems with drugs and alcohol for the past four years.
