Rehabilitation Unit Plans Open House

To note its 25th year of operation, the physical therapy department at Kootenai Medical Center will host an open house today from 4 to 6 p.m.

KMC’s outpatient Rehabilitation Department began with one physical therapist and an aide in 1972. Now it has more than 30 staff members and several programs, making up the largest rehabilitation staff in North Idaho.

Laurie Brunette is director of the department and was its first physical therapist. Brunette and Cheri Blaine, the unit’s first physical therapy aide, will be honored during the open house. The event will be held at KMC’s Health Resource Center. , DataTimes
