Split Keeps Sasquatch In Lead

George Petticrew scattered six hits and fanned eight Tuesday in pitching Community Colleges of Spokane to an important 8-5 win over visiting Walla Walla in an NWAACC East Division baseball doubleheader.

Petticrew (6-1) was backed offensively by Gavin Hare, who drove in four runs with three hits.

Walla Walla came back to win the nightcap 18-9 behind an 8-run seventh inning that included three walks and two CCS errors. The split kept the Sasquatch (11-4) in first place in the division standings, 1-1/2 games ahead of Walla Walla (9-5).
