Spotlight: Wild Moose Cup

Some of the fastest nordic skiers from the U.S., Canada, Australia and Italian teams are slated to converge on Mount Spokane Dec. 19-20 for the YOKO/FIS Wild Moose Continental Cup.

Besides the World Cup-level competition, there’ll be races for men and women in masters (over 30), junior (14-18) and citizens (open to anyone). All will use the same course, with the international skiers going 10K and the others 5K.

Classic races are Dec. 19 at 10 a.m., with the citizens event at 1 p.m. Freestyle races begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 20 with citizens at 12:30 p.m.
