University of Portland (4-3) built a 23-point halftime lead and went on to dispatch cold-shooting Eastern Washington 76-46 in Portland.
At 41 percent, Eastern Washington (2-6) had its better shooting half while falling behind 45-22 by halftime. The Eagles were 8 for 33, including 0 for 12 on 3-pointers, in the second half and finished at 31 percent, 13 percent (3 for 23) on 3-point attempts.
Reserve Kelli Pilkington had 12 points and 14 rebounds for Eastern Washington. Starting center Lyndy Burgess added 11 points.

Jamie Wakefield had 14 points and six rebounds and Emily Stuenkel added 11 points to lead the Pirates past the cold-shooting Chieftains in a Northwest Conference game at Seattle.
Seattle was plagued by poor shooting, converting just 20 of 84 shots for 22.2 percent. Whitworth also had a poor night from the floor, hitting 29 of 69 attempts for 39.5 percent.
The win improved the Pirates to 4-2, 2-1 in the conference.
