4 Men Arrested In Shooting Death

Four Stevens County men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death last October of a man near Blue Creek, Stevens County sheriff’s deputies said.

Scott Andrew Lindsey, 32, and Edward Phillip Becker, 25, both of Addy, Randall Gene Thomas, 36, of Kettle Falls, and Donald Leroy Edmondson, 30, of Colville, were jailed on a preliminary charge of first-degree murder. A formal charge is expected next week, deputies said.

The decayed remains of a person were discovered in a shallow grave behind a mobile home on property at 2101-B Blue Creek Road in Stevens County.

Investigators received a tip Feb. 7 that a man had been killed there in late October and obtained a search warrant for the property, deputies said.

An autopsy performed at Holy Family Hospital revealed that he died of multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies have not identified the victim, who lived in the trailer.

Detectives would not say how they tied the four men to the killing. An investigation continues.
