Sun Downs Racing Likely

The odds are good the Tri-Cities will keep horse racing for at least another two years.

After months of negotiating, the Tri-City Horse Racing Association is on the verge of a deal with Benton and Franklin county commissioners to keep quarter horses running at Sun Downs.

The association, which has been in peril for the past year since the commissioners tried to raise the rent, figures it could continue to scrape by under the latest deal it has proposed.
