Crapo Applauds Idaho For Self-Government
Efforts to free states from federal government intrusions depend on the Idaho Legislature’s success, Rep. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, told state lawmakers Thursday.
“As states do their job, it propels more opportunities in which to send decision-making power back to the states,” he said.
Crapo said he uses Idaho’s welfare reform initiatives, which preceded federal reforms, to prove to Congress that states are capable of selfgoverning.
“Idaho is one of just a few states that really picked up the ball and have done it well,” said Crapo, who is running for the U.S. Senate.
