Qualifying in the Million Dollar Hole-in-One Shootout, which benefits Lutherhaven’s “Take Stock in Kids” camping program, begins this weekend.

First qualifying sessions for the Aug. 23 finals, which will be held on the floating green at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Course, will be today through Sunday at Gateway Golf Center in Clarkston.

Other sessions will be Aug. 6-9 at Birdies Golf Center in Spokane and Aug. 13-16 at the Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course. Hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays.

Contestants pay $1 per shot - you get extra shots in purchases of $10 through $100 - at pins 120 yards away for men, 90 for women. There are daily finals leading to the grand finale. Prizes range from $100 to a $30,000 car to the grand prize of $1 million.
