Nursery Hosting Yard And Bird Fair

Blossoms & Bloomers nursery is hosting its eighth annual yard bird fair Saturday and Sunday.

The state Department of Fish and Wildlife will provide information on starting a Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary. Garden tours and birdwatching advice will also be available.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the nursery, 11415 E. Krueger Lane. It’s located two miles northeast of the intersection of Bigelow Gulch and Argonne roads. Follow the signs this weekend. Go one mile east on Bigelow Gulch. Then take a left on Pleasant Prairie Road and head straight north for another mile. Krueger Lane is a small driveway on the right about a half-mile after the roadway turns to gravel.

The nursery is open during the spring through June on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Owner Gerry Krueger also takes guests at other times, but only by appointment. Her phone number is 922-1344.
