Future Of Downtown Again Open For Comments
Do you have comments to make about the future of downtown Spokane? Here’s your opportunity.
The fourth and final downtown planning meeting, held by the Downtown Spokane Partnership and the city of Spokane’s planning department will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Spokane Convention Center.

Changing times Here are some findings from the second annual survey by the 100% Recycled Paperboard Alliance. The survey polled more than 200 general managers in supermarkets nationwide during March. Beverages and snack foods are the packaged goods that men purchase most often. Women most frequently purchase household goods, dairy products and toiletries. Cigarettes and liquor combined are the most frequently shoplifted items of 1998 with an increase of 180 percent from 1997.
