‘Need New Faces In The Capitol’

Jay Patrick Newcomb

COVER LETTER

I am a blue-collar worker, a grain truck driver and candidate for the Legislature. I am not a rich attorney or a real estate developer.

Nonetheless, I keep up with the issues and want to have a role in North Idaho affairs.

We need new faces in the Capitol. I want to be one. It is time for a working commoner to have a chance to hold office.

I am a moral and economic conservative and stand against the extreme environmentalism that threatens our timber and mine workers. Radicals from outside our culture threaten our grass farmers’ right to burn. I stand with you, the grass farmer: No Washington state radicalism in Idaho.

I believe in the right to keep and bear arms and in states’ rights. On this I shall not compromise! The federal government has too much power over states - all federal land in Idaho should be owned by Idaho.

I’m a nonsmoker and am against the radical anti-smoking hysteria that is the current fad. Let’s save our children and women from real threats, like rapists and molesters. I want to pass a law that those convicted of such crimes face the death sentence with limited appeals.

I am 33 years old with a wife and two children. I attend the Vineyard Christian Fellowship and am involved in the Royal Rangers, a Christian Boy Scout organization.

Give me a chance. Instead of another attorney, vote for me. Long live Idaho and America!
