Logging To Close Clearwater Road

A logging project is closing the Salmon Creek Road on the Clearwater National Forest until mid-July.

Forest Service Road 4800 is closed to all motorized vehicles immediately. As many as 20 logging trucks a day will be hauling timber from the Dworshak Blowdown timber sale.

In addition, workers are patching the Beaver Creek Road, which may delay travelers. The patching project will take place between Headquarters and the Aquarius Bridge. Repairs should be completed by May 22 on this road, also known as Forest Service Road 247.
