A radio collar from a reintroduced wolf in central Idaho has been recovered and turned over to the law enforcement branch of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Curt Mack, Nez Perce Tribe wolf recovery leader, and Tribal Executive Committee Chairman Samuel Penney confirmed a collar was found in the Chamberlain Basin of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness.

Neither could say if that means the death of one of the wolves released in 1995 and 1996. The collar was discovered at the end of September, Mack said.
