Clumsy Lovers Will Get Your Irish Up And Dancing At The Met

Guaranteed, you’ll be doin’ a jig in the aisles.

If you want to see a band that’s a sure-fire bet to get you dancing, then head to The Met this Wednesday. The Clumsy Lovers are back in town, bringing their raging Celtic rock to the all-ages venue.

The Clumsy Lovers hail from Vancouver, British Columbia. Not only are these crazy Canadians thoughtful enough to make Spokane a regular haunt, but they consistently fill the dance floors whenever they come to town.

This band features the usual guitar/drum/bass lineup but tosses fiery mandolin and fiddle playing into the mix. It’s rock with an Irish edge. Earlier this year they released their fourth album, “Barnburner.”

The show is a benefit for the Washington Conservation Voters, an organization that works to elect and support environmentally responsible candidates. Sounds like a good cause to me.

If you haven’t seen the Clumsy Lovers before, I highly recommend you take this opportunity to do so.

Steve Simmons opens the show Wednesday. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, available through all G&B Select-A-Seat locations or by calling (800) 325-SEAT.
