North Idaho legislators’ votes:
Indian Relations Council: A council made up of representatives of the five Indian tribes and five lawmakers was approved in the House 60-5 on Monday. North Idaho Reps. John Campbell, R-Sandpoint; Jim Clark, R-Hayden; Hilde Kellogg, R-Post Falls; Larry Watson, D-Wallace; June Judd, D-Orofino; Chuck Cuddy, D-Orofino; Don Pischner, R-Wallace; Wayne Meyer, R-Post Falls; Jim Stoicheff, D-Sandpoint; and Jeff Alltus, R-Hayden voted in favor of the bill.
$1,000 bonus limit:
Legislation to remove the $1,000 limit on employee bonuses was killed 15-51 in the House Thursday. Reps. Clark, Kellogg and Campbell voted yes; Reps. Meyer, Stoicheff, Alltus, Cuddy, Pischner, Judd and Watson voted no.
F&G fee compromise:
A House committee introduced a compromise plan this week to phase in hunting and fishing fee increases over three years. The money will bail out the ailing Department of Fish and Game. Rep.
Golden Linford, chairman of the House Resources Committee, engineered the compromise. House Revenue and Tax committee members Kellogg, Clark, Cuddy and Watson joined in the unanimous vote to introduce the bill and refer it to Linford’s committee for a hearing.
