Eight Left Homeless After Duplex Fire
A fire at a north Spokane duplex left three adults and five children homeless Wednesday, firefighters said.
The blaze began about 12:30 p.m. at 1016 E. Sanson. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the duplex. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes, fire officials said. No one was injured.
There is no estimate on damages. The people displaced by the fire are being cared for by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
