Bonner County Escapee At Large

Sun., June 6, 1999

A 25-year-old man who escaped from Bonner County Jail Friday was still at large Saturday night.

Austin Mark Fulton evaded jail security during “an emergency maintenance procedure” at about 9 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from the Bonner County Sheriff’s Department.

Police dogs and bloodhounds unsuccessfully attempted to track Fulton following his escape.

The sheriff’s office would not release further information regarding the nature of the escape or Fulton’s criminal record.

Official records show Austin M. Fulton facing seven counts of robbery from a crime spree that began in Sandpoint in December 1995.
