Valedictorian Wins New Car In Drawing

Hope Anderson, a Lake City High School valedictorian, won a new car Thursday in a drawing for top students in Kootenai County.

Graduating seniors from five high schools who were in the top 10 percent of their class were eligible for the drawing.

Anderson has been named a Rotary Club Student of the Month, a Renaissance Student of the Week and an Idaho Top Scholar. While at Lake City, she participated in the drama club, National Honor Society, basketball, tennis and the school newspaper.

She has been offered scholarships from the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club, Whitworth College and Seattle Pacific University.
