Looking to add a little variety to your spice life?
Chef Dave Hill at Hill’s Someplace Else restaurant and pub in downtown Spokane has begun bottling his all-purpose spice blend, a piquant combination of kosher salt, garlic, onion, paprika and unspecified spices.
Hill, who recommends the mixture on everything from pasta to pizza to fast-food burgers, uses it on his homemade beef jerky (also available for sale at the restaurant).
Price: $5 for 6 ounces.
