Man Sought In Store Robbery

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Circle K store on Monday, the first armed robbery in Moscow in three years.

A man entered the store on South Main about 5:15 a.m., pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cashier, according to police.

The man fled after receiving approximately $85 in cash.

“It’s very unusual for our community,” Capt. Cameron Hershaw said.

The armed robbery comes after a string of burglaries of businesses in Moscow and several car thefts.

The person wanted for the Circle K robbery is described as slender, white man in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-9 and 140 to 150 pounds. He was reportedly wearing black clothing and may have been driven away from the scene by another man.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Moscow Police Department at 882-COPS.
