Spotlight: Learn To Swim

For the first time, the Spokane Parks Department is accepting mail-in registration in addition to on-site registration for its learn-to-swim classes at six city pools.

The program, for ages 3 and older, offers four two-week classes, Monday-Friday, from 9-11 a.m., beginning June 21. Fees are $20 for city residents, $25 for non-residents through May 31. After that, add $2.50 for each.

Class sizes are limited and are filled on a first-come basis. The mail-in process offers a way to preregister while cutting down on long registration lines at city pools at Hillyard, Shadle, Liberty, Witter, Comstock and Cannon parks.
