Teachers Reject Contract Proposal
Coeur d’Alene teachers did not reach a contract agreement Tuesday with the Coeur d’Alene School District.
Coeur d’Alene Education Association members had a brief morning meeting before recessing for a districtwide back-to-school program. Teachers voted against the district’s proposal, CEA President JoAnn Harvey said. Details of that proposal were not released.
“We’ll work with the district,” Harvey said.
The ongoing contract negotiations will have no bearing on the start of school today. “We look forward to an agreement in the very near future,” said Judy Drake, the district’s chief negotiator.
