Intersection Flooded By Water-Line Break

A broken water line next to the Northwest Boulevard and Seltice Way intersection flooded part of the intersection with running water Monday afternoon.

Construction workers had been digging in the area when they accidentally hit the line about 3:30 p.m. Water gushed out of the hole they’d been digging. The resulting stream of water was deep enough to brush the bottoms of cars as they travelled across the west side of the Northwest Boulevard and Seltice Way intersection.

The city’s water department supervisor could not be reached for comment.
