Correctly placing the port city of Campeche on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula has earned a St. Anthony seventh-grader a trip to Washington, D.C., for the National Geography Bee.
Steven Atkinson from South Fremont Junior High School on Friday answered the winning question at the 12th annual Idaho Geography Bee.
Taking second place was Josh O’Rourke, a seventh-grader at Moscow Junior High School; eighth-grader Edward Anegon of Jenifer Junior High in Lewiston was third.
