Robber Sought In Hotel Holdup
Police are looking for a robber who held up a Coeur d’Alene hotel early Monday morning.
An employee at the Days Inn, 2200 Northwest Blvd., told police a man was at the hotel around 4:30 a.m., according to police reports.
The clerk said she was standing in the back of the lobby when she heard the man say, “Hey.”
She looked up and saw him waving a large knife in the air. He demanded money, according to police reports.
She complied. He then walked to the main phone and tried unsuccessfully to cut the cord, then unplugged the receiver from the phone. He then grabbed the portable phone and told her to lie on the floor, according to reports.
As the robber left, he said, “Have a nice day.”
The robber is described as a white man, about 25 to 28 years old, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and skinny. He was wearing a dark blue sweat shirt, blue jeans and a yellow stocking cap pulled over his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Coeur d’Alene police at 769-2320.
