For New Students, It’S Time To Register

Kindergarten and new students to the Coeur d’Alene School District in grades one through five can register for class between 8 a.m. and noon next Tuesday at their neighborhood school.

New students must bring their birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency such as a rent receipt or utility bill.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by Sept. 1. Assignments to morning and afternoon classes will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for returning students in grades one through eight is Wednesday, Aug. 23, from noon to 6 p.m. These students must show proof of residency.

Families who have received notification from Kootenai County of an address change should bring that notification with them so the district can update its records.

Classes begin Sept. 5.
