Hearing On New Subdivision Delayed

From Staff

A hearing on a controversial plan to bring a 110-home subdivision here has been delayed for a month.

Rob Reagan, from Timberline LLC, decided Wednesday to table his proposal to the city’s planning and zoning commission. Reagan wants to build a 33-acre subdivision on land adjacent to city limits.

The proposal was originally going to go before the commission Wednesday night, and now is scheduled for Sept. 20.

The plan to annex and rezone the property has come under heavy fire from local residents, including local developer Larry Clark. Clark has helped form a group in opposition to Reagan’s project because of traffic and safety issues.

In the meantime, Reagan said he is waiting for several more letters supporting his proposed development.

“We’re doing things right,” Reagan said. “We want to build the nicest subdivision Rathdrum has seen yet.”
