Police blotter Coeur d’Alene police

Steve Anthony reported Friday the batting cage at McEuen Field had been damaged. All six poles on the batting cage were bent causing $1,500 in damage.

Carl Bennett reported Friday that a bag containing camping equipment had fallen off the top of his car while traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 95 near Athol. When he returned, the bag and its contents valued at $1,440 were gone.

Kootenai County sheriff

Justin Paschke, Post Falls, reported Sunday the theft of stereo equipment and musical instruments valued at $5,850 from his home sometime between Aug. 11 and Aug. 18.

Albert Nash, a security supervisor for Silverwood Theme Park, reported Sunday the $531 theft of cash from an employee while headed for a deposit box at Silverwood. The suspect grabbed the cash deposit bag from under her arm and started running.

William Hanebuth, Calif., caretaker of his father’s property near Spirit Lake, reported that someone had logged approximately 100 red and white fir trees valued at $10,000 from his father’s property without permission from either of them.

Thomas Eilers, Post Falls, reported Friday for his brother, William Eilers, the $500 theft of tools and toolbox from his brother’s property in Post Falls.

Rick Malsam, an employee at Rockford Bay Marina, reported Friday that a fire, possibly arson, caused $720 damage to docks.

John Cummings, Bayview, reported Saturday the $1,700 theft of electric tools and seven sets of antlers.

Paul Smyly, Spirit Lake, reported Friday the $2,750 theft of a mountain bike, chain saw and electrical tools from his garage in May.

Robert Grant, owner of Northwest Cabinets, reported Friday the $835 theft of electrical tools from his business, 147 Aqua Circle, Dalton Gardens.

Harry Daugherty, Hayden, reported Saturday $1,000 damage by someone shooting pellets at his Plymouth Voyager while parked at home.
