Three-Pointer Provides Momentum For ‘Jacks

Sonny Schultz of St. Maries hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key as time expired in the third quarter of Saturday’s non-league game with Grangeville. The shot led to a five-point lead and boosted the Lumberjacks to a 54-46 win over the visiting Bulldogs.

St. Maries finished 6 of 13 on 3-pointers.

Karin Grieser hit 4 of 7 field goals and Holly Eberlin added seven rebounds for St. Maries.

Samantha Clarke and Katie DePonty combined to hit 12 of 14 field goals, and the visiting Dragons defeated the Badgers for their 31st consecutive win.

The Dragons won last year’s State B title with a 30-0 record. BF’s Taylor Cady had 19 points and 13 rebounds.
