New faces:
The following people have been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society:
Dr. Neil K. Worrall has joined Drs. Berg, Selinger, Leonard, Coleman and Siwek in the practice of cardiothoracic surgery. Worrall graduated from Washington University in 1991 and completed an internship and residency at Barnes Hospital in 1998. He completed a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital this year.
Dr. Allen R. Seely has begun the practice of family medicine at Rockwood Clinic. A 1990 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, he completed an internship at UC Davis Medical Center in 1991 and a residency at Mercy Medical Center in 1993. Seely also completed a fellowship at Tacoma General in 1994.
Dr. Alexander A. Nagy has joined Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgical Associates PS in the practice of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. He graduated from Tirgu-Mures Medical Institute in 1982, completed an internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1994 and a residency at Cabrini Medical Center Mt. Sinai in 1998. Nagy also completed a fellowship at The Heart Hospital of New York this year.
Dr. Adriana R. Nagy has joined Inland Cardiology Associates PS in the practice of cardiology. A 1981 graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacology, she completed an internship at University Hospital in 1984 and a residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1997. She also completed a fellowship at Beth Israel this year.
Dr. Robert E. Moss joined Rockwood Clinic as a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1977 and completed an internship and residency at Medical University of South Carolina in 1980. Moss also completed a fellowship at Arizona Health Sciences Center in 1982.
Dr. Judith A. Martin has joined Inland Northwest Genetics Clinic as medical director. She graduated from CMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in 1979 and completed an internship at Middlesex General Hospital in 1980 and a residency at Columbus Children’s Hospital in 1982. She also completed a fellowship at Lutheran General Hospital in 1987.
Dr. Susan K. Lehman has joined Dr. William Gray in the practice of family medicine. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997 and completed an internship and residency at Good Samaritan Hospital this year.
Kelly Simpson has been hired by optometrists Gene O.Teigan and Dean C. Gray as the lead inspector in charge of quality control. Her responsibilities include verifying eyeglass prescriptions, performing final quality inspection checks and researching and testing new products. Simpson, who has three years of customer service, is currently attending Spokane Falls Community College, working toward a degree in forensic science.
Gary E. Myhro has joined G&B Real Estate Services as a property manager. He will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of properties, including apartment buildings, homeowners associations and some retail properties. Myhro previously was association manager for Hillcrest Vista Homeowners Association in Antioch, Calif. He holds designations as an Associated Management Specialist and a Certified Community Association Manager.
Moving up:
The Community Colleges of Spokane has granted tenure to Doug Crabtree, a graphic design instructor at Spokane Falls Community College, and Shyamali Hauth, an instructor in applied education at Spokane Community College.
Starting up:
Bed Bath & Beyond has opened a 37,000-square-foot store in Franklin Park Mall at 5628 N. Division. The store, which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, features bed linens, bath accessories, window treatments and kitchen linens, as well as cookware, dinnerware, glassware, lifestyle accessories, closet and storage items and juvenile items. The new store, which is the company’s first in the Spokane area, is the 297th in a chain that covers 43 states. A nationwide computerized Bridal & Gift Registry also is available at the store.
Certifications:
The Wallingford, Conn.-based Home Inspection Institute of America Inc. has designated Erich Prahl of Spokane as a certified home inspector. Prahl completed a training program and a written examination and is knowledgeable in inspecting the major home systems, including the overall structure, foundation, walls, roofs, attics, basements, heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems.
