Andre Ervin scored a game-high 34 points, on 14-of-17 shooting from the floor, and grabbed eight rebounds to propel Community Colleges of Spokane to a 101-89 win over Mt. Hood in the final game of the Edmonds Crossover Tournament on Sunday. Demetrius Scott added 23 points, while Kellen Biggar chipped in with 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for CCS (7-4).

Junior hockey

The Spokane Braves scored four first-period goals and cruised to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Creston Thundercats in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action.

Ryan Johnson had a pair of goals for the Braves (15-18-2-1). Billy Martin, Matt Damskov and Matt Sumney also scored. Martin also had two assists.
