Driver’S Condition Good After Accident

A Spirit Lake woman was in good condition at Kootenai Medical Center on Tuesday evening after her car was struck on state Highway 41 in Spirit Lake on Monday afternoon.

Lori A. Blakey-Owens, 39, pulled her Chrysler LeBaron out from a Spirit Lake gas station about 2 p.m. Monday. A Dodge pickup driven by James Sanders, 60, of Coeur d’Alene, struck the car on the driver’s side, Idaho State Police said.

Blakey-Owens was flown to Kootenai Medical Center. Passenger Donald Jones, 17, of Post Falls, also was taken to KMC, where he was treated and released.

Sanders and a passenger were uninjured.
