The Senate on Monday approved the appointment of Larry Watson to the Idaho State Tax commission.

“Larry brings unique knowledge and capabilities to his new position,” Sen. Clint Stennett, D-Ketchum, told the Senate. “He brings experience from his legislative service as well as his past experience” as chief deputy assessor for Shoshone County.

Watson, a former Democratic state legislator from Wallace, will serve on the commission through March 2005.
