Task Force Makes Two Drug Busts

The Sundance Drug Task Force made two drug busts late this week, seizing marijuana, methamphetamine, scales and packaging material and making one arrest.

Milton E. Kurtz, 67, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after task force members searched his residence at 1601 Main Street and found marijuana, scales, packaging materials and money.

Kurtz was already on felony probation stemming from a previous drug charge. The task force was asked to assist Idaho Probation and Parole in the search Thursday afternoon.

In a separate drug bust, at 9 p.m. Thursday, the drug task force and Bonner County sheriff’s deputies searched the residence of Jane M. Shaner, 51, at 2263 South Sagle Road.

Shaner was not arrested, but the task force seized a large quantity of packaged methamphetamine and marijuana at the house. Also seized were packaging materials, scales, drug paraphernalia and money.
