Robbery Suspect Sought In Cda

Police are looking for man who robbed a downtown convenience store Tuesday night.

A clerk at Gittel’s Grocery, 1201 N. Government Way, told police a man walked into the store around 10 p.m. He walked up to the checkout area with his hands in his pockets and demanded all the money from the till. He told the clerk he had a gun in his pocket, police reports said.

The clerk said she opened the cash register’s drawer, and the robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and ran.

The robber is described as a white man, about 17 to 21 years old, about 5-foot-8, about 140 pounds, with short blond hair. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap, a light blue and dark blue jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes.
