Mullen’S ‘Mistake’ Lifts Lakeside
Girls basketball
Sunni Jo Mullen’s 3-pointer was right on time Saturday night, even though Mullen wasn’t right about the time.
Mullen banked in a 30-foot shot with 13 seconds left to give Lakeside a 33-30 win over Prairie in a Central Idaho League game featuring divisional leaders at Cottonwood.
Mullen told her coach that she let fly with the shot because she thought there were 3 seconds left. Lakeside sealed the win with a steal.
Amy Fuchs and Mullen topped the Knights with eight rebounds apiece.
