Snowmobile Rules May Be Amended

Bonner County commissioners may consider amending a recent ordinance that allows snowmobiles on some county roads in the Priest Lake area.

Some residents of Coolin, Idaho, have been complaining to county officials about snowmobilers riding out of control on their streets in town. According to Commissioner Brian Orr, the county may remove Clinton Avenue and Missouri Street from a list of roadways where snowmobiles are allowed.

The resolution to amend the snowmobile ordinance is on the agenda for the commissioner’s regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday in the courthouse.
