Program To Re-Enact Fur Trading Years

The Spokane House Interpretive Center will hold a re-enactment of the fur-trading years of 1812 and 1813.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will feature canoe races, musket loading, tanning fur, and other fur trade activities that went on during the early days of Fort Spokane.

Visitors will be able to inspect historically accurate flintlock guns, swords, knives, tools, equipment, leather goods and hand-stitched clothing as well as enjoy period music and games. The event is free and open to the public.
