Principal Selected For Dalton Elementary

From Staff

The vice principal of Hayden Meadows Elementary School will become principal of Dalton Elementary School this fall, pending approval by the Coeur d’Alene School District’s board of trustees June 14.

Shelley Rosenberger would replace Linda Powers, who has accepted the position of district coordinator of programs for at-risk students.

Rosenberger was selected from among four finalists.

Also a kindergarten teacher, Rosenberger has spent 19 years in public education, including nine years in the Lakeland School District. While there, she was selected as teacher of the year in 1987. She joined the Coeur d’Alene district in 1990 and was a primary and resource room teacher before becoming an assistant principal at Ramsey and Hayden Meadows.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University and her master’s degree from the University of Idaho.
