One Dead, One Hurt In One-Car Accident

One man was killed Thursday and another taken to Spokane’s Deaconess Medical Center in serious condition after a one-car accident near Tensed, Idado.

James Joseph Martin, 47, of Worley, was killed. Francine M. Tinney, 49, of Elmer City, Wash., survived, according to the Idaho State Police.

Both were ejected from the car.

The accident occurred about 1 p.m. on Desmet Road, two miles west of its intersection with U.S. Highway 95, near Tensed, according to the ISP.

It was unclear late Thursday who was driving the Toyota RAV or what caused the crash. Troopers said the car was registered in Tinney’s name.
