Hottois Approved To Teach At UI
The Idaho Board of Education has accepted former Lewis-Clark State College President James Hottois’ appointment to teach political science at the University of Idaho.
The state board will pay Hottois $96,780 to lecture in political science, which is his academic area of expertise.
Hottois resigned as LCSC president to look for another job. The UI post is intended to give him a year to do so. Seven candidates are now being considered as LCSC’s interim president.
In other personnel action by the state board, UI Athletic Director Mike Bohn’s three-year compensation package was approved. Bohn will receive a $5,000 raise, bringing his salary to $105,000 per year. In addition, he’ll receive $5,000 a year for media appearances and a $100,000 annuity from the privately funded Vandal Boosters. He can cash the annuity after three years.
