No Deadline Set On Riverstone Query

From Staff Reports

The Coeur d’Alene Urban Renewal Agency heard a presentation by developer John Stone on Wednesday, but set no deadline for deciding whether to provide funds to the Riverstone project.

Financial consultants and attorneys have been researching the agency’s bonding authority.

Board chairman Charlie Nipp said he hopes to have a rough draft of those findings within two weeks to show other urban renewal agency members.

Stone wants is seeking between $1.3 million and $1.5 million from the agency to build the Centennial Trail through his 73-acre parcel, to build a new intersection at Lakewood Drive and Northwest Boulevard and sidewalks.

Stone said a Web page is being developed to attract high-tech industries to locate at Riverstone.

“We have four real good targets for businesses who want to locate there,” Stone said.
